Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve Photos | California Beaches Posted on October 23, 2016October 29, 2016 by beach Here I was enjoying the fresh sea air, and the blowing winds at Guadalupe Beach. On the way to Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve, I stopped to observe the fields filled with vegetation which spread throughout the immense valley. While I was driving next to the expanse of farm fields on the way to Guadalupe Beach, I saw this relic of the past. I can see the sand dunes off in the distance, must be getting close to Guadalupe Dunes Preserve. Upon entering the Guadalupe Dunes Preserve, I came across this cute shack, which was the park entrance/ I believe it will be manned during the busy season. As I looked around, I saw that the dunes surrounded me. I am almost to Guadalupe Beach. The windy road took us straight through the Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve. Vegetation was very sparse, I felt like I was travelling through Egypt. I looked to the right of the road, and I saw lush vegetation in the distance, surrounding a small lake. I look far over the dunes and I could see the ocean waves breaking on Guadalupe Beach. I was excited to be on the edge of the world. The California Coastline was a sight to behold. I collected this sand from Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Reserve. It was a special day, and I enjoyed every moment while bathing in the fresh sea air. A typical sunny day on the Central Coast of California. Guadalupe beach is a very nice place to relax. I enjoyed the sweet ocean aroma while listening to the waves crashing at Guadalupe Beach. The sand dunes continue to roll throughout Rancho Guadalupe Dunes Preserve. Through the dunes I trudged through the sand, seemingly spanning forever. On the way back into the town of Guadalupe, I passed by a field which was being watered. A rainbow formed in the mist, a sign of good luck. The first sight I saw when entering Guadalupe, was a historic graveyard filled with ornate statues. In the cemetery, I found many tombstones adorned in Asian and Japanese writing. This shows the rich cultural heritage of Guadalupe. Through the rustic town of Guadalupe, I saw this monument of the past. The Far Western Tavern caught my eye as I passed through old downtown Guadalupe. Refreshment and excitement is to be had at this establishment, a reminder of our roots here on the central coast of California. Only time will tell what the fate of Guadalupe will be. This clock reminds me of a time past, one lost and hopefully will return someday. This old fashioned building in downtown Guadalupe made my mouth water while I imagined staying in the hotel and eating at pizza restaurant.
